The second generation, the children of migrants raised in Australia or who came as very young children - has been termed, 'the at risk' generation by missiologists.
Many struggle to find a spiritual home in the wider community where they worship, but also struggle to fit in where they once worshipped as children. Our GEN2 Service seeks to meet the needs of the people 'living in the hyphen'.
We do this by creating a culturally inclusive space that taps into the energies of the youth and 1st-Third of Life people, while respecting our cultural traditions and identity. We also encourage our members to be active in the wider life of our church, being able to engage with their cultural community while having a space that is their own for worship!
